Algeria’s Independent National Electoral Authority has officially installed the president and members of the Campaign Finance Monitoring Committee for the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for July 2.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the acting head of the Independent National Electoral Authority, Karim Khalfan, in accordance with Article 115 of the Organic Law on the Electoral System. The ceremony was attended by the First President of the Supreme Court, Taher Mamouri, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Justice, Hammadou Mohamed, and senior justice officials.
The committee, dzwatch can confirm, is composed of a Supreme Court judge serving as president, a State Council judge, an Audit Court advisory judge, alongside representatives from the High Authority for Transparency and Anti-Corruption and the Ministry of Finance.
The electoral campaign is set to officially launch on June 9 and will conclude on June 28, ahead of the July 2 polling day.
