Algeria’s state-owned hydrocarbon maritime transport company Hyproc Shipping has announced a significant leadership change, with Tama El-Houari appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Adil Chrouati, who held the position for the past 18 months.
Chrouati previously served as CEO of Tassili Airlines, a Sonatrach subsidiary, for one year between June 2019 and June 2020, before his recent departure following the full transfer of the airline’s ownership to Air Algérie Domestic.
Hyproc, a key pillar of Algeria’s energy infrastructure, also holds a majority stake in MC Oran, one of Algeria’s prominent football clubs, reflecting the company’s broader role in national life beyond the energy sector.
