Following confirmation that all traffic safety conditions have been met for users of this crucial segment, and the implementation of a continuous monitoring and control system within the tunnels, the minister and the Walis oversaw the reopening of the first two tunnels linking Hammadania and Chiffa, heading towards Algiers.
Regarding the continuing works on the two tunnels connecting Chiffa and Hammadania in the direction of Djelfa, the minister issued directives for urgent measures. These include mobilizing all available resources, particularly technical equipment and means, and deploying additional teams to complete the remaining work and open the other two tunnels as soon as possible.
Rakhroukh emphasized the paramount importance of coordination among all stakeholders, including central ministry services, local authorities, and relevant interveners. This coordination is crucial to ensure the smooth and accelerated progress of the remaining works, allowing for their completion in a short period while consistently prioritizing the safety of users on the North-South highway.
