Key Hamdania Tunnel Reopens Towards Algiers Following Safety Upgrades

Algeria's Minister of Public Works and Basic Facilities, Abdelkader Ouali, officially reopened one of the Hamdania tunnels today. The tunnel, connecting Hamdania and Chiffa and leading towards Algiers, is now accessible after essential technical work was completed and traffic safety conditions were verified along this critical section of the North-South highway.

The reopening followed a field visit by Minister Ouali, accompanied by the governors of Blida and Médéa. The visit was conducted to inspect the ongoing repair works within the tunnel complex. The ministry has issued directives to expedite the completion of any remaining tasks to ensure the full operational capacity of the vital transport link.
