Enrique Joins Guardiola and Zidane in Elite Three-Time Champions League Winners Club

Luis Enrique has etched his name in football history, becoming the third manager to secure three UEFA Champions League titles. This remarkable feat places him in an elite group alongside legendary figures like Pep Guardiola and Zinedine Zidane.

Luis Enrique third Champions League title

The Paris Saint-Germain coach clinched his latest triumph after guiding his team to a dramatic penalty shootout victory (4-3) against Arsenal in the final held at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary. The match concluded in a 1-1 draw after regular and extra time, leading to the tense penalty decider.

This marks Enrique's third Champions League trophy, having previously won the prestigious competition with Spanish club FC Barcelona in 2015, and then again with PSG in the previous year. His latest win elevates him to the same historic pedestal as fellow Spaniard Pep Guardiola, the legendary Zinedine Zidane, and the late English manager Bob Paisley, all of whom have also achieved three Champions League titles.

Only Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti stands above this distinguished quartet, holding the record for the most Champions League titles with five victories (2003, 2007, 2014, 2022, 2024).
