Algerian pilgrims have served as distinguished ambassadors for their nation, reflecting an honorable image of Algeria during the Hajj season. This sentiment was expressed by Youcef Belmehdi, Algeria's Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments and head of the Algerian Hajj Mission, while in the holy sites.

Belmehdi stated that the Algerian pilgrims showcased exemplary behavior, high morals, and a positive spirit, embodying the core values of solidarity and mutual support. He described the Hajj journey as a profound spiritual school, from which pilgrims return enriched with values and ethics that positively influence their families, communities, and the nation.
Regarding the pilgrims' health, the minister reported a reassuring general condition, with only a small number of cases being closely monitored by Algerian medical teams in coordination with Saudi hospitals. He emphasized that the mission is dedicated to the care of patients and ensuring their safe return to Algeria, prioritizing medical clearance and facilitating their reunion with loved ones.
Departure flights from Jeddah are scheduled to commence on Sunday, with return journeys continuing until June 21st. Looking ahead, Belmehdi announced that preparations for the upcoming Hajj season will begin early, guided by a structured plan. He lauded the Algerian state's robust support under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which includes easing financial burdens, expanding departure airports, providing transportation for pilgrims from remote areas, and ensuring comprehensive medical, accommodation, and administrative services.
