Algeria has been honored with the bronze 'Labaytum' award in Mecca, recognizing its exceptional services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH. The accolade was bestowed by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah during the 'Khetamouhou Misk' event, marking the conclusion of the Hajj season.

The award specifically acknowledges Algeria's exemplary organization and delivery of Hajj-related services, encompassing procedural documentation, accommodation and catering contracts, internal and external transportation arrangements, and adherence to operational standards. This marks the third consecutive year Algeria has been recognized on the international stage for its Hajj services.
Speaking on the achievement, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Awqaf, Youcef Belmehdi, expressed immense pride, stating, "This distinction is a source of pride for Algeria." He highlighted the nation's consistent presence on award platforms, attributing this success to the dedicated efforts of all mission members. The minister further emphasized that this recognition is a direct result of the attention and support provided by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who is committed to ensuring Algerian pilgrims can fulfill their religious obligations under the best possible conditions.
Minister Belmehdi also commended the mission members for their role in reflecting an honorable image of Algeria and bringing joy to pilgrims through this consecration. He extended congratulations to the Algerian pilgrims on completing their rites and wished them a blessed Hajj. The minister concluded by expressing gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their fruitful cooperation and coordination, which were instrumental in the success of the Hajj season, and voiced aspirations for Algeria to continue its achievements across various sectors.
