Algeria's national football team coach, Vladimir Petkovic, has unveiled the highly anticipated 26-player squad, plus one reserve, for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the "Mohamed Sellah" conference hall within the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki. The Algerian squad, affectionately known as "Les Verts," have been drawn into Group J for the global tournament, where they will face reigning champions Argentina, Jordan, and Austria on June 17, June 23, and June 28, respectively.
The team has commenced its preparatory camp at the National Technical Center (CTN) in Sidi Moussa. Their preparation will be further refined through two friendly matches. The first encounter is scheduled against the Netherlands on June 3 in Rotterdam, followed by a match against Bolivia on June 10 in Kansas City, USA.
