Algerian Interior Minister Said Sayoud Strengthens Bilateral Ties in High-Level Paris Meeting

Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport, Said Sayoud, engaged in high-level discussions with his French counterpart, Laurent Nuñez, on Monday during a significant working visit to Paris. The meeting, held at the French Ministry of Interior headquarters, signifies a continued commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between Algeria and France.

Minister Sayoud’s visit comes at the invitation of Minister Nuñez, following Nuñez's own trip to Algeria in February 2026. Arriving in Paris with a high-level Algerian delegation, Minister Sayoud was personally welcomed by his French counterpart, underscoring the importance of these ongoing diplomatic exchanges.

Prior to his meeting with Minister Nuñez, Sayoud visited the Algerian Embassy in France, where he was greeted by the Chargé d'Affaires and other diplomatic staff. The two ministers are set to proceed with a comprehensive work program established to advance shared interests and further solidify the partnership between the two nations.
