Algerian Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, recently revealed key dates for the retrieval of summonses for the country’s secondary education and baccalaureate exams. During his visit to the M’Sila Province on Monday, Belabed outlined the specific schedules for both educational benchmarks.

Candidates for the Middle School Certificate Examination can access their summonses starting Sunday, May 5, 2024, while those sitting for the Baccalaureate Examination can retrieve theirs from Thursday, May 9, 2024. The process of retrieving these important documents will be conducted online through the National Office of Examinations and Competitions website and the digital platform for guardians. Additionally, educational institutions will also facilitate access.

Minister Belabed emphasized the ongoing validity of this process up until the final day of the examinations, reassuring students that replacement summonses could be issued in case of loss.

Addressing the conditions under which the exams are conducted, Belabed highlighted that the academic year has progressed smoothly, ensuring that the exams will retain certain measures to support student success. Notably, students will be granted an additional half-hour to select their exam topics, with two possible subjects to choose from. He also reassured that no student will be tested on a topic that was not covered in-person at their educational institution.

These announcements come as part of the ministry’s efforts to streamline procedures and reduce stress for exam candidates by ensuring clear communication and accessibility of necessary documentation.
