Massive Magnitude 8.2 Earthquake Strikes Philippines’ Mindanao Island

A powerful magnitude 8.2 earthquake struck the island of Mindanao in the Philippines on Monday, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ). The seismic event occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. The GFZ revised its initial magnitude estimate upwards from 7.3.
