Algeria's Civil Protection units have successfully extinguished 18 agricultural fires that erupted across various provinces in the past 24 hours. The blazes, affecting crop harvests, palm trees, and fruit trees, were reported in multiple regions, including Chlef, Béjaïa, Tlemcen, Djelfa, Sétif, Sidi Bel Abbès, Constantine, M’Sila, Oran, Bordj Bou Arreridj, and Aïn Témouchent.

Fires also impacted palm groves in Tamanrasset, Ouargla, Ghardaïa, and El Meghaïer, with one incident involving fruit trees in the Oued Sebseb agricultural perimeter in Ghardaïa. Constantine province notably experienced two crop fires in the communes of Aïn Abid and Ouled Rahmoune. According to the latest report issued Tuesday at 8:00 AM, all fires were completely controlled and extinguished, with no ongoing operations.
The swift and decisive intervention by Civil Protection forces prevented any escalation and ensured the protection of valuable agricultural assets. Authorities are urging farmers and citizens to exercise increased vigilance during the summer season to prevent further incidents and safeguard the nation's harvests and arboreal heritage.
