Algiers subsidized housing program LPA progress
During a meeting chaired by the Wali (Governor) of Algiers, Mohamed Abdennour Rabehi, a comprehensive presentation detailed the program's progress. Of the total units, 3,224 have been completed, while 6,617 are currently under construction. An additional 4,205 units are in the initial stages of work commencement, and 2,505 units are in the study phase. This significant development follows the successful allocation of all necessary land plots, resolving previous difficulties in identifying suitable construction sites.
The update, issued by the provincial authorities, highlighted that all programs have now been situated, overcoming hurdles related to the availability of buildable land. Governor Rabehi acknowledged some delays in certain LPA projects but emphasized that the process proceeded without necessitating the declassification of agricultural land.
Governor Rabehi underscored the critical need to accelerate the pace of projects currently underway and to swiftly commence the remaining programs. He assured that all identified obstacles are being addressed and resolved to ensure the timely completion of these vital housing initiatives.
