Customs officers in El Oued, in collaboration with the Algerian People's National Army, have successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of psychotropic substances. The illicit drugs were discovered concealed within hidden compartments of a tractor-trailer truck.

The operation, executed based on precise intelligence, led to the seizure of 81,150 pills. Four individuals implicated in the smuggling attempt were apprehended. Following legal procedures under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor, the suspects have been taken into custody.
