President of the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies Receives Qatari Ambassador to Algeria

Algiers – The President of the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies, Mr. Mohamed Tahar Abadlia, received the Qatari Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, today. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of scientific research and technological innovation, according to a statement from the council.

During the meeting, which also included diplomat Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Nuaimi, both parties discussed the necessity of building a partnership through “establishing a platform for cooperation between the National Council in Algeria and its Qatari counterpart. This would involve exchanging expertise and delegations to strengthen the field in both countries and achieve sustainable development for the benefit of both peoples. They emphasized that this cooperation initiative could serve as a nucleus for expanding collaboration to other Arab countries,” the statement said.

Mr. Abadlia highlighted the “active and constructive role played by the council through its constitutional duties,” noting that “international cooperation with counterpart councils in other countries can contribute to laying a solid foundation for this advisory body.”

On his part, the Qatari Ambassador praised the “deep-rooted relations at the highest levels,” adding that the Qatari-Algerian relationship is “genuine and strong, as evidenced by multiple partnerships and agreements, with the formation of a joint high committee soon.” He emphasized the need to support these relations.

He also pointed out that scientific research and technology are “essential factors for the advancement of nations and that the conditions are ripe to build and implement this cooperation in the future, especially since shared visions contribute to creating opportunities and collaboration,” the council’s statement added.
