President Tebboune Offers Condolences Following Death of Qatar’s Former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following the death of his father, former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
In his condolence message, President Tebboune said he had received the news of the passing of the Father Emir with deep sadness and emotion. He expressed his sincere condolences, solidarity and sympathy to Sheikh Tamim and the bereaved Al Thani family during this painful time.
The President described the late Sheikh Hamad as one of the prominent builders of the State of Qatar and a respected Arab leader known for his wisdom and his contributions to Arab causes.
President Tebboune prayed that Almighty God would grant the deceased His infinite mercy, welcome him among the righteous and give his family patience, strength and comfort as they mourn their loss.
The Algerian President also highlighted the special relationship that the late former Emir maintained with Algeria. He noted that Sheikh Hamad had great affection for the country and that this feeling was warmly shared by the Algerian people.
According to President Tebboune, the late Sheikh developed strong ties with Algeria through his numerous private visits, which helped deepen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Algeria and Qatar.
The message reflected the close relations between the two countries and the mutual respect that has long characterized their leaderships and peoples. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani played a major role in Qatar’s modern development and in strengthening its presence on the regional and international stages.
He served as Emir of Qatar before transferring power to his son, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. His death represents a significant loss for the State of Qatar and the broader Arab world.
President Tebboune concluded his message by once again praying for the late Sheikh Hamad, asking God to grant him eternal peace and a place in His vast paradise.
