Qatar’s Emir Extends Condolences to President Tebboune Over Tragic Mohammadia Fire
The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has sent a message of sincere condolences to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune following the tragic fire at the assisted childhood institution in Mohammadia, Algiers.
In his message, the Qatari Emir expressed his profound sympathy to President Tebboune, the Algerian people and the families of the victims. He also wished a swift and full recovery to all those injured in the devastating incident.

Algerian authorities immediately mobilised Civil Protection units, emergency services and specialised medical teams to rescue those trapped inside the institution and provide urgent care to the injured. Five children with reduced mobility were safely evacuated, while several victims were transferred to specialised hospitals for treatment.
Under the instructions of President Tebboune, senior government officials closely followed the situation and provided support to the affected families. The Algerian leadership’s rapid response demonstrated the state’s firm commitment to protecting children, assisting vulnerable citizens and ensuring that all necessary resources were deployed following the tragedy.
