President Tebboune Congratulates Algerian Students on Formula Student UK Award

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune congratulated students from Algeria’s National Polytechnic School after their outstanding achievement at the Formula Student UK 2026 international engineering competition.

In a message published on his official social media accounts, President Tebboune expressed his pride in the ENP Racing Team, which received the Allan Staniforth Best Newcomer Award as the best team participating in the competition for the first time.

“From one achievement to another, we are proud of our students from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers,” the president said, praising their success against teams representing several international universities.

The prestigious automotive engineering and design competition was held at the historic Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. The Algerian team participated with the first racing car designed and manufactured entirely in Algeria, marking an important milestone for the country’s university engineering and technological innovation.

President Tebboune said the achievement demonstrated the promising prospects available to Algeria’s young people and reflected their ability to compete successfully at the international level.

“The future is in your hands. Continue along this path, and may success remain your companion, God willing,” he added in his message to the students.

The award represents significant international recognition of the technical skills, creativity and teamwork demonstrated by the young Algerian engineers. Formula Student competitions evaluate university teams in several areas, including vehicle design, engineering solutions, project management and practical performance.

The ENP Racing Team’s success also highlights the growing contribution of Algerian universities to innovation, applied scientific research and advanced engineering.

By congratulating the students personally, President Tebboune reaffirmed the state’s support for talented young Algerians and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence.

The achievement is expected to inspire other students to develop innovative projects and represent Algeria with distinction at major international scientific and technological events.
