Interior Minister Conveys President Tebboune’s Condolences to Wildfire Victims’ Families in Sétif

Algeria’s Minister of the Interior and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, travelled on Thursday night with the ministerial delegation accompanying him to the municipality of Beni Mouhli, in the Beni Ourtilane district of Sétif province, where he conveyed the condolences of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the families of the late Mouqat Mohand Oulhadj and Nesraqi Larbi.

During the visit, Sayoud expressed the full solidarity of the Algerian state with the two bereaved families, stressing that the authorities stand by them during this painful period.

The minister also met with residents of Beni Mouhli and listened to their concerns and requests. He assured them that their grievances would be conveyed to the relevant authorities and that their follow-up would be ensured in accordance with the instructions of President Tebboune.

As part of the same visit, Sayoud, accompanied by Health Minister Mohamed Seddik Aït Messaoudène, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs Soraya Mouloudji, and Civil Protection Director General Colonel Boualem Boughlaf, supervised the launch of a solidarity convoy for families affected by the recent forest fires.

The initiative aims to strengthen the values of national solidarity and mutual assistance while ensuring continued support for families impacted by the wildfires.

The visit reflects the authorities’ commitment to remaining close to affected citizens and providing the necessary assistance during difficult circumstances, while reinforcing coordination between government departments and local services in support of wildfire-affected communities.
