Water Resources Minister Conducts Unannounced Visit to Blida to Inspect Projects

Algeria’s Minister of Water Resources, Lounès Boughazga, arrived on Monday morning at the headquarters of Blida Province to begin an unannounced working and inspection visit.
According to a statement from the ministry, the minister was welcomed by the Governor of Blida, Djamel Eddine Hachass, as part of a field assessment aimed at monitoring the progress of ongoing development projects in the water sector.
During the visit, the minister is expected to closely evaluate the pace of project implementation and ensure that previously issued directives are being properly executed. Particular attention will be given to instructions delivered during his last visit to the province on May 23, 2026.
These directives mainly focused on strengthening and improving the supply of drinking water to residents, as well as accelerating the completion of key strategic projects and bringing them into operation as soon as possible.
The visit reflects the government’s continued efforts to enhance public services, especially in the water sector, and to ensure that development projects are delivered efficiently and in line with national priorities.
