Algeria Launches Digital Platform to Streamline Services Import Procedures

Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, chaired a workshop on Sunday in Algiers dedicated to presenting and explaining the mechanisms for using a newly launched digital platform designed to manage and monitor services import operations.
According to a statement from the ministry, the initiative is part of broader government efforts to digitize administrative procedures and enhance transparency in the field of foreign trade. The platform aims to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and provide better oversight of services imports.
The workshop brought together representatives from various national companies operating in the services sector, as well as members of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions, banking institutions, insurance companies, and air and maritime transport operators. Other stakeholders involved in services import activities also took part in the session.
During the meeting, participants received detailed technical explanations on how to access the platform and make full use of its services. These include submitting and tracking applications, exchanging information and data, and monitoring the different stages of request processing.
On this occasion, Minister Rezig emphasized that the launch of the platform reflects the country’s commitment to building a modern, digital-based administration. He noted that this step will contribute to improving governance in foreign trade, while reinforcing transparency and efficiency in the management of services import operations.
The initiative marks another milestone in Algeria’s digital transformation strategy, aimed at simplifying procedures and creating a more business-friendly environment for economic operators.
