
Algerian clubs USM Alger and CR Belouizdad have learned their potential opponents for the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup following the draw held الخميس at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
Title holders USM Alger will face the winner of the first preliminary tie between The Panthers of Equatorial Guinea and ASPAC of Benin. The Algerian side will be aiming to continue its strong continental run as defending champions.
Meanwhile, CR Belouizdad will take on the winner of the matchup between Mauritania’s Customs Club and Guinea’s Hafia FC, in what promises to be a competitive fixture for a place in the next stage.
According to CAF’s schedule, the first-leg matches of the second preliminary round are set to be played between October 16 and 18, while the return legs will take place from October 23 to 25.
Both Algerian teams will be looking to secure qualification and advance further in the competition as they aim to strengthen their presence on the African football stage.
