Victim Families Praise State Response to Wildfires

Families of those injured in the recent wildfires that affected several eastern and central provinces have lauded the comprehensive mobilization of various state institutions in caring for those impacted. Evacuated to the Dr. Said Chiban Major Burns Hospital in Zeralda, the families specifically highlighted that this state response was implemented following instructions from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. They also commended the extensive solidarity demonstrated by the Algerian people, which they stated contributed significantly to reducing the scale of the disaster and the shock experienced.

Numerous families accompanying the injured expressed their satisfaction with the prompt deployment of state resources and support for affected citizens from the onset of the fires. Aymen Beldera, from Djemaa Beni Habibi municipality in Jijel province, whose family members were among the injured, conveyed his gratitude to the President for his close follow-up and the mobilization of all state institutions for care and fire suppression. He further acknowledged Prime Minister Seifi Gharib's visit to Jijel, on behalf of the President, to assess the situation and attend victims' funerals. Similarly, Tababla Rezki, from the same region, praised the immediate on-the-ground interventions that provided rescue to residents in the affected areas, and noted the President's personal visit to the Major Burns Hospital to ensure the well-being of the injured, reassuring them of necessary treatment, which helped elevate their morale.

The extensive outpouring of popular solidarity was also a central theme of gratitude. Kenza Mrabet affirmed that the disaster reiterated the unity of the Algerian people and the solidarity among its members, evidenced by the continuous flow of aid convoys from across the country to the affected zones. President Tebboune, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, General Saïd Chengriha, and Minister of Health Mohamed Seddik Ait Mesoudane, personally inspected the condition of the injured who had been evacuated to the Dr. Said Chiban Major Burns Hospital from the affected provinces.
