Sahrawi Government Launches Donation Campaign for Algerian Wildfire Aid

The Sahrawi government has launched a nationwide solidarity campaign to support the Algerian people affected by recent wildfires. This initiative follows a meeting chaired by Sahrawi Prime Minister Bushraya Hamoudi Beyoun, which included government members and governors, to discuss providing full support to Algeria as it contends with the devastating fires across several central and eastern provinces.

During the meeting, Mrabih El Mami, a member of the Polisario Front's national secretariat and political organization secretary, announced the commencement of the solidarity campaign. This effort will extend across all Sahrawi provinces and national institutions to assist affected Algerian citizens. The head of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, Bouhabeyni Yahya Bouhabeyni, further affirmed the readiness of all segments of Sahrawi society to offer comprehensive aid to Algeria during this challenging period.

These actions build upon earlier expressions of solidarity, including a condolence message from Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali, who is also the Polisario Front Secretary-General, to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Additionally, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic's embassy in Algeria conveyed condolences from the Sahrawi people to Algeria for the victims of the wildfires. Such initiatives highlight the enduring and profound fraternal bonds that unite the Sahrawi and Algerian peoples.
