Future Disaster Management Meeting Set for Tomorrow

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced a significant meeting to be held tomorrow, Sunday, to define future measures for disaster prevention and management. The announcement was made today, Saturday, during his inspection of individuals injured in recent wildfires at the Dr. Said Chiban Major Burns Hospital in Zeralda, Algiers. This proactive step aims to implement procedures and arrangements designed to avert similar calamities in the future.

During his visit, President Tebboune emphasized the nation's enhanced capabilities in medical treatment and care, noting that Algeria now possesses the means to manage complex health cases domestically, which previously required sending patients abroad. He also commended the professionalism and competence of the hospital's medical staff, alongside praising the profound spirit of solidarity demonstrated by the Algerian people in response to the recent events.

The upcoming meeting will gather all officials directly or indirectly involved with such events, underscoring a concerted effort to fortify national readiness. This initiative reflects a strategic focus on future preparedness, transitioning from immediate response to comprehensive long-term prevention strategies to protect the population and national assets.
