Yemen's Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Aden has approved the definitive list of students nominated to receive scholarships provided by the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. This significant decision was made by the Ministry's Higher Committee for Scholarships, marking a crucial step in educational cooperation between the two nations.
The approval followed an extended meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Technical Education, Dr. Adeel Al-Taheesh, with the attendance of Dr. Ahmed Kulaib, Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Standards and Quality Sector. During the session, the committee meticulously reviewed the results of the selection process for vocational high school graduates who applied for the Algerian scholarships. Discussions focused on ensuring transparency and guaranteeing equal opportunities for all applicants.
The committee also emphasized the rigorous procedures for completing candidates' files, including a thorough review of official data and documents to ensure full compliance with accredited academic conditions and criteria for external scholarships. Particular attention was given to confirming students' expressed desire and actual readiness to travel and pursue their studies, aimed at preventing any underutilization of the valuable educational opportunities allocated by Algeria to Yemen. The meeting concluded with the adoption of organizational decisions and practical mechanisms to finalize all nomination procedures, paving the way for official approval of the final list and subsequent coordination with relevant domestic and international entities to facilitate student travel to Algeria.
