The two candidates for the US presidential elections, Joe Biden and Donald Trump, engaged in their first debate on Thursday, which lasted for 90 minutes.

American media unanimously agreed that President Joe Biden’s performance in the debate against former President Donald Trump was “disastrous,” signaling a need for the Democratic Party to sound the alarm.

The debate, moderated by CNN, highlighted Biden, who appeared notably aged, and his attempts to prove otherwise “failed,” according to observers. Consequently, the media declared Trump the winner based on performance even before the poll results were released.

Registered observers who watched Thursday’s debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump noted that the latter performed better, according to a survey conducted by CNN.

The survey indicated that approximately 67% of the observers believed Trump’s performance was superior compared to 33% who favored Biden’s performance.

Prior to the debate, the same observers anticipated that Trump would outperform Biden, with 55% expecting better performance from Trump versus 45% for Biden.

The poll results reflect only the views of those voters who watched the debate and do not represent the entire electorate in terms of demographics, political preferences, or their level of interest in politics.
