In his speech, the ambassador highlighted the significant sacrifices and resilience of the Algerian people in the face of French colonialism, which lasted 132 years, to achieve freedom and independence. He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to restore national sovereignty.

The ambassador also recalled the bravery of the Algerian resistance against the oppressive colonization, which suffered heavy losses despite its military superiority. He emphasized the brutal practices of the colonizers, including inhumane treatment and the scorched-earth policy used in cities, villages, and hamlets.
