Technical Glitch Disrupts Global Operations

International media reported that a technical glitch in one of CrowdStrike’s servers has affected numerous media outlets, hospitals, airports, and institutions worldwide today, Friday.

CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm, acknowledged reports of a malfunction in the Windows operating system on one of its servers.

Microsoft stated that it continues to address the ongoing impacts on the remaining Microsoft 365 applications affected by the glitch.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that major American airlines have halted all flights due to a communications issue. The FAA highlighted that American Airlines has suspended operations due to the problem.

Berlin Airport also announced a suspension of flights until 8:00 GMT on Friday. The airport operator posted on platform “X” that the airport is experiencing delays in passenger check-ins due to a technical issue.

Turkish Airlines confirmed facing problems with booking systems, passenger check-ins, and ticket issuance due to a global technical glitch. The airline’s help desk mentioned on “X” that efforts are underway to resolve the issue.

Spain’s Airport Authority reported facing computer system issues across all airports, impacting passenger operations.
