The National Fund for Agricultural Cooperation and the National Office for Educational and Vocational Works have signed a framework partnership agreement to insure the agricultural activities and properties of the office.

On Tuesday, the National Office for Educational and Vocational Works (ONEVT) announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the National Fund for Agricultural Cooperation (CNMA). The agreement, which was initially signed on Monday by CNMA General Manager Cherif Benhabbiles and ONEVT General Manager Abdelghani Ammiar at the CNMA headquarters, outlines the terms and conditions for insuring the agricultural activities and properties of ONEVT across the country. Specific insurance agreements will be signed between regional agricultural cooperation funds and ONEVT for each production site.

The statement added that CNMA commits to covering all risks related to the activities of ONEVT under preferential conditions. CNMA will also provide its expertise for technical support, property evaluation, and updating, as well as protection and prevention of insured properties. Insurance contracts will be issued within one month.

For its part, ONEVT commits to subscribing to insurance contracts for its agricultural activities and properties and providing all necessary information for drafting the insurance contracts.

The statement highlighted that this agreement marks the beginning of a “strategic alliance” aimed at improving technical performance in managing agricultural insurance. ONEVT aims to increase the number of workers in rehabilitation institutions within agricultural workshops and internal production by providing appropriate training.

The statement concluded by noting that ONEVT, an industrial and commercial public institution under the Ministry of Justice, manages over 6,000 hectares of agricultural workshops and various production sites. The office also plans to open 40 new workshops by 2029 and establish 10 poultry farming units specialized in egg production.
