World Champion Djamel Sedjati Honored Upon Algiers Return

Champion Djamel Sedjati returned to Algiers Houari Boumediene International Airport on Monday evening, following his victory in the 800-meter race at the "Ultimate" World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. Upon his arrival, he was officially welcomed by the head of the military sports service from the Directorate of Employment and Preparation of the General Staff of the National People's Army.

The Ministry of National Defense issued a statement confirming Sedjati's reception. Following this prestigious achievement, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, who serves as Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the National People's Army, extended his renewed warm congratulations to the champion.

General Chanegriha underscored that this richly deserved victory further enhances the record of Algerian sport and reaffirms its distinguished presence on the international stage. Sedjati's triumph adds significantly to Algeria's athletic accomplishments, highlighting its excellence in global competitions.
