Adel Zerrouk Appointed General Director for Seat, Cupra in France

Adel Zerrouk, an Algerian national, has been named the new General Director for the Seat and Cupra brands in France by Volkswagen Group France. His appointment became official on September 7, 2026, marking a significant leadership transition. Mr. Zerrouk succeeds Pedro Fondevilla, who departed from the group after an eighteen-year tenure with Seat.

Mr. Zerrouk, aged 45, joined Seat and Cupra France several weeks prior to his directorship. Before his latest promotion, he held the position of head of the commercial department for the Spanish division since July 1. In this role, he followed Sébastien Daudier, who transitioned to Director of Fleets within Volkswagen Financial Services.

Mr. Zerrouk's career in the automotive sector commenced in Algeria in 2006 with Sovac. Nine years later, he moved to Peugeot Algeria, where he was responsible for commercial and marketing activities. His professional journey continued across various Maghreb markets, gaining experience particularly within distribution networks, which ultimately led him to Seat and Cupra in France before his appointment to lead both brands.
