State Program Connects 135 Homes to Bouira Gas Network

The Sonelgaz Distribution Directorate in Bouira recently launched a new natural gas distribution network, connecting 135 households across five villages within the Lakhdaria, Zbarbar, and Guerrouma communes. This initiative forms part of a dedicated state program aimed at enhancing public services and quality of life in the wilaya of Bouira.

The project involved the construction of a 10.5-kilometer natural gas distribution network, representing a significant investment of 16.2 million dinars. The beneficiary villages specifically include Taliouine Haut in Lakhdaria, Zouabria, Bouzbala, and Ouled Gacem in Zbarbar, as well as Ahnif Haut in Guerrouma, all now benefiting from improved energy infrastructure.

According to Sonelgaz, the activation of this network underscores ongoing efforts to expand natural gas coverage throughout the rural areas of Bouira. This development is set to directly contribute to the improvement of living conditions for the affected populations, aligning with the broader national strategy to deliver essential utilities to all citizens.
