Interior Ministry Coordinates Tébessa Flood Relief Efforts

In response to recent heavy rainfall in Tébessa province, which locally reached 50 millimeters, the Ministry of Interior has announced the continuation of field interventions. Local authorities have mobilized various concerned services to address the situation across areas affected by the precipitation.

These interventions specifically involve operations to remove mud and clear blockages. Participating entities include Civil Protection services, units from the National Sanitation Office, public works and irrigation sub-departments, as well as municipalities and municipal public sanitation establishments. Additionally, National Security services and the National Gendarmerie are actively managing and ensuring smooth traffic flow.

A dedicated monitoring and coordination cell has been established at the province headquarters to oversee the ongoing efforts. Interventions continue with the mobilization of essential resources and capabilities, aimed at safeguarding lives and property and ensuring the safety of citizens. Local authorities have also issued a cautionary appeal to residents, urging them to exercise vigilance and avoid wadi banks and roads experiencing high water levels.
