Single Investment Window Activation Ordered by President Tebboune

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered the effective activation of a single window for investment before the end of September. This directive, issued during a working meeting focused on investment and the single window, aims to address administrative constraints and mobilize industrial land. The head of state's firm instructions are intended to reduce processing times, clarify procedures, and provide investors with a singular point of contact, thereby avoiding multiple steps across various administrative bodies such as tax services, state domains, customs, and urban planning departments.

In further measures to enhance the investment environment, President Tebboune also commanded an immediate and exhaustive census of available industrial land across the country. This initiative seeks to provide a precise mapping of industrial sites, identify unexploited parcels, distinguish immediately mobilizable land, and foster transparency in allocation. Additionally, the President ordered an acceleration of the digitalization of all investment-related procedures, specifically involving tax services, state domains, and customs. This digitalization effort is set to reduce the burden of paper-based applications, minimize investor travel, and expedite processing times by increasing traceability and clarifying responsibilities.

The comprehensive reforms also include an approved principle for reorganizing and specializing ports, with the Port of Mostaganem designated exclusively for import operations conducted by public establishments and enterprises. This specialization aims to optimize logistical flows and enhance the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The working meeting, underscoring the government's commitment to these initiatives, was attended by the Prime Minister, the Secretary General of the Presidency, the Minister of Finance, and various other ministers, including those for Industry, Labor, Foreign Trade, Agriculture, and Digitalization, alongside the Director General of Customs and the Director General of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI).
