On Monday, the Ministry of Culture and Arts revealed important statistics about the new digital service platform for the Artist Card, known as “فن – Art.”

According to a statement from the ministry, the platform is designed with modern technical specifications to align with technological advancements and adds to the benefits available to artists and cultural professionals.

The platform allows users to obtain or renew their Artist Card and enables artists to track the progress of their applications remotely, including the stages of processing until the card is received.

Since its official launch, the platform has seen significant engagement from artists and creators across various artistic and literary fields.

The platform has recorded the creation of 2,755 accounts by Artist Card applicants and 792 applications submitted in different fields of arts and literature.

Following the review of these applications by members of the National Council for the Arts and Letters, 304 applications were fully approved, while 308 were initially accepted pending the completion of required documents.

Additionally, 180 applications were deferred, awaiting the submission of certificates, artistic contracts, or video links relevant to the required artistic professions.

The ministry also noted that the cards will be issued with a new design and distributed to recipients through provincial cultural directorates starting from August 15, 2024.

The process of receiving and reviewing Artist Card applications continues exclusively on the “فن – Art” digital platform, which aims to establish a national registry of artists and the artistic professions they practice.
