Council of Ministers Outlines Support for Fire Victims, Civil Protection

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, also the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, presided over a Council of Ministers meeting on Sunday. During the session, the President issued a series of directives aimed at reinforcing national governance and enhancing citizen welfare.

President Tebboune extended his appreciation to the government, specifically the relevant ministers, for their swift action in processing compensation for regions impacted by recent fires. He further instructed these ministers to expedite any outstanding compensation payments to those affected. Additionally, the President ordered a comprehensive revaluation of salaries within the Civil Protection sector, to be achieved through a revision of index points, and directed the government to support this year's Hajj pilgrimage, mirroring the approach of the preceding year.

Looking ahead, President Tebboune also tasked the government with preparing a more effective agricultural orientation draft law, signaling a focus on bolstering the nation's agricultural sector.
