Pilgrimage Costs Set at 82 Million Centimes with State Aid

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune announced a significant decision to contribute to the expenses of the Hajj pilgrimage for the current year. The move, made during a Council of Ministers meeting, demonstrates the government's commitment to facilitating religious duties for its citizens.

Under this new initiative, the total cost for all pilgrims has been set at 82 million centimes. This figure reflects the state's contribution, coming after an approximate 7 million centimes increase in Hajj costs observed this season. The decision aims to alleviate the financial burden on individuals undertaking the sacred journey.

The President's decision followed a proposal presented by the Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs. This measure underscores the government's ongoing efforts to support Algerian citizens and ensure accessibility to religious obligations, reinforcing social cohesion and public welfare.
