Chef Nora Sadki Secures Gold in Paris Culinary Championship

Algerian chef Nora Sadki, widely known as "Na Nora," was awarded a gold medal for her traditional dishes at an international competition held in Paris. The event took place from September 10 to 13 as part of the tenth edition of the International Village of Culinary Arts, attracting participants from over 70 countries. This recognition celebrates Algerian culinary talent and its rich heritage on a global platform.

In response to her win, the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Houria Meddahi, officially received Chef Sadki in Algiers. Minister Meddahi commended the achievement, noting that Chef Sadki successfully conveyed a flavor of Algeria's heritage to an international forum, honoring the national flag. The Minister specifically highlighted the dish "Aghroum Akouran," which is a part of Algeria's traditional heritage, reflecting the country's local products, traditions, and cultural memory.

Minister Meddahi emphasized that Chef Sadki's success contributes to the growing list of achievements by Algerian talents in international arenas, underscoring the creative spirit that has brought an inherited Algerian recipe to international prominence. The Minister affirmed that Algerian culinary art represents a significant element of the national heritage and is a key attraction for tourism, both domestically and internationally, serving as a bridge to showcase the depth and authenticity of Algeria's rooted heritage.
