On Friday, Hassani Cherif Abdelali, the candidate of the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) for the upcoming September 7 presidential elections, emphasized the importance of these elections during a rally in Annaba. He urged citizens to “participate strongly to ensure the success of this event, thereby thwarting any attempts to undermine the nation’s stability and unity.”

Speaking at the regional theater “Azzedine Medjoubi” on the second day of the electoral campaign, Hassani Cherif stated that his candidacy is driven by his awareness of the “malicious schemes targeting Algeria due to its principled stance in supporting peoples striving for liberation.”

He called on citizens to “head to the polls in large numbers to cast their votes and provide the necessary legitimacy to the next president, thereby blocking any attempts to destabilize the country.”

The candidate also warned against certain parties that “attempt to tarnish the image of the elections by calling for a boycott and belittling the candidates in an effort to create a distrust between the citizens and state institutions.”

Hassani Cherif highlighted the “economic and tourism potential of the coastal province of Annaba, which positions it as an important economic hub.” He noted that Annaba holds significant importance in his electoral program due to its historical, political, and economic depth.

He affirmed that his program is based on building a diverse economic fabric, with a focus on supporting small and emerging enterprises. To this end, he pledged to “revitalize the El Hadjar complex and other major national institutions in the province, contributing to the advancement of the national economy and creating job opportunities for the youth.”

Touching on the automotive industry in Algeria, Hassani Cherif pointed out that it has not achieved the desired outcomes. He promised that, if elected president, he would “establish a genuine automotive industry by diversifying partnerships with major specialized companies and working towards producing an affordable Algerian-made car.”

Regarding the tourism sector in Annaba, the candidate listed the province’s numerous tourist attractions, which make it a prime destination for tourists. He committed to removing barriers and reducing costs to create an attractive environment that would boost public treasury revenues.
