Laghouat Customs, Gendarmerie Seize 16,900 Pregabalin Tablets

Customs services in Laghouat, working in coordination with a research brigade from the National Gendarmerie, successfully intercepted a substantial quantity of psychotropic substances. The operation resulted in the seizure of 16,900 tablets of pregabalin 300 mg.

This intervention was carried out by the regional specialized anti-smuggling brigade in Laghouat. It forms part of the ongoing field efforts aimed at confronting networks involved in the smuggling and promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances across national territory.

Beyond the drug seizure, the operation also led to the confiscation of a tourist vehicle that was being used to transport the tablets, and one individual was arrested. The arrested person has been referred to the competent judicial authorities for further legal proceedings.
