Sonelgaz Explores Partnership Expansion with South Korean Company BHI

Algiers – The Sonelgaz Group held discussions with the South Korean company BHI to explore ways to enhance and expand their existing partnership into new areas, according to a statement released by the group on Thursday.

The statement revealed that Sonelgaz’s President and CEO, Mourad Adjal, hosted Bijay Doak, the General Manager of the Algerian-Korean joint venture “BHI Algérie,” at the group’s headquarters on Wednesday. BHI Algérie specializes in manufacturing energy recovery devices, heat exchangers, and accessories for power plants.

The meeting focused on the future of the partnership between the Algerian group, represented by its subsidiary, the Algerian Company for Electrical and Gas Industries (SAIEG), and the South Korean company BHI, represented by “BHI Algérie,” according to the statement.

In this context, Mr. Adjal affirmed that Sonelgaz “remains committed to its obligations and is keen to maintain this partnership, which will be beneficial for both parties based on the win-win principle, by expanding the scope of the partnership beyond traditional activities.”

Mr. Doak, in turn, expressed his reliance on Sonelgaz’s support to strengthen cooperation between the two sides and further develop the company, the statement added.
