Sports: CAF Organizes Two Training Seminars in Algeria on Women’s Football

Algiers – The North African Football Union (UNAF), under the supervision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and in collaboration with the Algerian Football Federation, is organizing two training seminars focused on women’s football in Algiers. These events will be held alongside the UNAF Women’s Club Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the CAF Women’s Champions League and will take place in Algeria from August 24 to 31, 2024.

The first seminar, titled “Women’s Football with a Female Staff,” will take place on August 23 and 24. It will cover various topics, including women managers in football, school football for girls, and the fight against doping in African football, as detailed by the federation in a statement on its official website.

The second seminar, scheduled for August 26 and 27, 2024, will be dedicated to administrators of women’s football clubs, according to the same source.

It’s noteworthy that the Akbou Women’s Football Club will represent Algeria in the UNAF Women’s Club Championship. This tournament, which qualifies for the fourth edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League, will be held at the Salem Mabrouki Stadium in Rouiba and the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida. Competing clubs include Sportif Sousse (Tunisia), Toot Khan Amoun (Egypt), and FAR (Morocco).
