Algiers – During a Council of Ministers meeting held on Sunday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune instructed the government to launch an international tender for the production and direction of a major film project about Emir Abdelkader, according to an official statement from the Council.
This initiative aims to give the film global recognition, reflecting the noble legacy of Emir Abdelkader. The statement emphasized that the Emir played a pivotal role in building modern Algeria and gained international acclaim for his efforts to protect minorities worldwide.

President Tebboune emphasized the importance of opening the project to both Algerian and international filmmakers, ensuring a high-quality production that adheres to the agreed terms and conditions outlined in the project’s terms of reference.
