Algiers – Ibrahim Boughali, Speaker of Algeria’s National People’s Assembly, expressed his determination to enhance parliamentary relations between Algeria and South Korea during a meeting with Kim Jin-pyo, former Speaker of South Korea’s National Assembly, on Thursday in Seoul. This commitment was highlighted in a statement issued by the Algerian Parliament.
Boughali emphasized that his visit to South Korea aims to boost high-level exchanges, which will further elevate bilateral cooperation to desired levels. He called for enhanced consultation and the exchange of expertise and experiences between the two countries to promote mutual understanding and development.
Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
For his part, Kim Jin-pyo expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of his visit to Algeria in January 2024, where he was warmly welcomed by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He noted the positive rapport he experienced during his meetings in Algeria and conveyed the gratitude of the South Korean government, parliament, and business sector to President Tebboune for his efforts in improving the investment climate and supporting South Korean companies operating in Algeria.
Promoting Innovation and Development Consulting
Kim Jin-pyo, who also heads the International Innovation Institute, highlighted the institute’s role in providing advisory services to countries interested in benefiting from South Korea’s development model. He expressed readiness to assist Algeria and other nations in leveraging Korean expertise to foster sustainable development.
This exchange reflects the mutual commitment of both nations to deepening their political, economic, and parliamentary cooperation, setting the stage for future collaboration that aligns with shared strategic interests.
