Google Begins Selling Refurbished Pixel Phones at Reduced Prices

Google has officially launched sales of refurbished Pixel phones on its online store, offering these devices at significantly lower prices compared to brand-new models. This includes refurbished versions of the Pixel 6, Pixel 6A, and Pixel 7, with discounts of up to 40% off the original prices. Each refurbished device comes with a one-year warranty and customer support identical to that provided for new products.

According to Google, each phone undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure quality across key features, including the screen, battery, and overall performance. However, the company does not offer specific guarantees on battery lifespan, with a representative noting, “Batteries are like people; they age gradually, then eventually deteriorate.”

Among the refurbished options, the Pixel 6 is now available at a competitive price of $340, down from $600, while the high-performance Pixel 7 Pro can be purchased for $630 instead of $900. All refurbished models come with 128GB of storage, though Google spokesperson Patrick Seybold indicated that additional storage options may be introduced soon.

The devices come preloaded with the latest version of Android and include a compatible charger. Google also offers free shipping in regions where its official store operates.

Refurbished phones, also known as reconditioned devices, are previously owned smartphones that have been returned for minor defects or due to customer upgrades. These phones undergo comprehensive repairs and quality checks, allowing them to be sold as near-new devices at more affordable prices.
