Gaza – Over 111 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed since Sunday morning due to intense airstrikes carried out by Israeli forces targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip, particularly the northern regions, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).

Massive Destruction Across the Gaza Strip

WAFA reported, citing medical sources, that 72 people lost their lives in 10 devastating airstrikes targeting the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. These strikes involved the use of heavy explosives, causing widespread destruction to residential buildings, schools, and shelters for displaced individuals.

In Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces demolished several residential structures west of the city. Similarly, eastern Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza was bombarded, leading to further casualties and injuries.

Casualties in Southern and Western Gaza

In Khan Younis, four Palestinians were killed following strikes in the Qizan Al-Najjar area. Meanwhile, two individuals were martyred near the industrial zone west of Gaza City, and two others lost their lives in Tel Al-Hawa, southwest of the city.

Throughout the Gaza Strip, injuries were reported due to drone strikes by Israeli forces, including incidents east of Rafah where several civilians sustained various injuries.

Over 40,000 Deaths Since October 2023

Since the onset of the aggression on October 7, 2023, now in its 408th consecutive day, the total death toll has reached a staggering 43,846, the majority being women and children. In addition, 103,740 individuals have been injured.

Reports indicate that thousands of bodies remain trapped under rubble and in streets, as rescue and medical teams are unable to reach them due to the relentless bombing and ongoing siege.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens

The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that its teams, in coordination with the International Red Cross, managed to evacuate 15 patients from Al-Awda Hospital to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. This effort underscores the dire humanitarian situation as Gaza continues to face catastrophic conditions under Israeli aggression.

The international community must urgently address the unfolding tragedy in Gaza to prevent further loss of innocent lives and alleviate the suffering of civilians.
