The Algerian destination is attracting increasing attention from French tourism professionals, with the celebrated tour operator Nomade Aventure launching a new 15-day circuit titled "Algérie, traversée intégrale d’est en ouest" (Algeria, full crossing from east to west). This small-group journey, starting from €2,389 including flights, is designed to combine historical heritage, cultural discoveries, and excursions into nature. The next scheduled departure for this extensive tour is November 8, 2026.
The circuit begins in Annaba, where travelers will discover the Saint-Augustin Basilica and the ancient vestiges of Hippone, before proceeding to Constantine. In the city of suspended bridges, visits will include the Ahmed Bey Palace, the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, and the ancient site of Tiddis. The itinerary continues to Timgad, known as the "Pompeii of North Africa," and the ruins of Djemila, both significant sites of Algeria's Roman heritage. Further along, the tour explores Kabylie, including Bejaïa and the Gouraya National Park, recognized as a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 2004. In Algiers, the program encompasses the Casbah, the Jardin d’Essai, Notre-Dame d’Afrique Basilica, and the Martyr’s Memorial, complemented by an excursion to the archaeological sites of Tipaza and Cherchell.
Following the capital, tourists will journey to Mostaganem to explore its historic center and markets. The circuit then continues to Tlemcen, featuring sites such as the Mechouar Palace, the ruins of Mansourah, the Sidi Boumediene Mosque, and the Beni Add caves. The final stage is Oran, referred to as "the radiant," where visits span the port, historic districts, and the Santa Cruz fortress. Nomade Aventure emphasizes opportunities for encounters with inhabitants, local gastronomy, and an immersion in the country’s culture, promising a journey through varied landscapes and multiple regions. The announced price covers international flights, accommodation, local transportation, French-speaking guidance, and most meals, with an option available from €1,899 for those arranging their own air travel.
