Anes Riahi Secures Fourth Algerian Stage Win at Tour du Faso

Algerian cyclist Anes Riahi won the seventh stage of the Tour du Faso on Thursday, November 5, 2026, marking his first success in this edition of the race. The stage, which covered 143.76 kilometers between Ouagadougou and Pô, saw Riahi complete the distance in 3 hours, 12 minutes, and 33 seconds, maintaining an average speed of 44.796 km/h. This victory brings Algeria’s total number of stage wins in the 37th edition of the international cycling tour to four.

Riahi demonstrated strong performance throughout the day, notably winning all three intermediate sprints. He secured the first sprint at Kombissiri, outpacing Youssef Bdadou. The Algerian cyclist then claimed the second intermediate sprint, positioning himself ahead of Mohcine El Kouraji. His third sprint victory came at Nobéré, where he again outperformed Youssef Bdadou and Moucaila Rawendé, establishing his dominance before the final sprint to the finish line.

This achievement builds upon Algeria's successful participation in the Tour du Faso, with Anes Riahi becoming the second Algerian stage winner in this year's event. Prior to Riahi's win, teammate Yacine Hamza had already secured three stage victories, triumphing in the sixth stage at Léo, as well as in earlier stages held in Koudougou and Boromo. This collective performance highlights Algeria's significant presence and competitive capability in the cycling tour.
