JS Kabylie suffered a setback on Friday evening, drawing at home against Tanzania’s Young Africans in their second group stage match of the CAF Champions League 2025-2026. The match, held at the ‘Hocine Aït Ahmed’ stadium in Tizi Ouzou, saw the home side fail to secure a victory and claim the top spot in Group B.
Despite several opportunities for players like Belaïli, Mahious, and Akhrib – particularly Akhrib’s late chance – JS Kabylie were unable to find the back of the net. The Tanzanian team employed a tactical approach, focused on disrupting the game’s flow and closing down space. Allegations of poor officiating further hampered JS Kabylie’s efforts.
This result comes just six days after JS Kabylie’s 4-1 defeat to Al Ahly in Cairo. The team now sits at the bottom of their group with only one point. A significant improvement in performance is needed in the upcoming matches to salvage their Champions League campaign.
DZWatch will continue to provide updates on JS Kabylie’s progress in the competition.
